If there is one thing I have learned in 18- odd years of tarot card reading, it would have to be that crystals and tarot cards go together like peanut butter and jelly. Crystal energy is very subtle yet powerful and can be used in many different ways to level up your tarot readings. I absolutely to incorporate crystals into tarot card reading and here's why you should too.
Meditation and grounding:
You all probably are aware of the energy cleansing properties crystals have. I like to use this to advantage before a tarot card reading session. Before a tarot card reading, I like to hold these crystals in my hands while meditating. This helps to clear my energy, grounds and lift vibrations. Which helps me prepare for a session with clear energy.
Clearing and energise the tarot deck:
Like many tarot card readers, I like to give my tarot deck a cleanse now and then to get rid of any energy gunk stuck on them. By now you have probably guessed how I do that. Yes, with crystals. It doesn't get any easier than placing a crystal on top of the deck and letting it do its magic of clearing any negative or confusing energies.
Raise the vibration of the place :
Crystal energies have a lot to bring to the table with tarot card reading. Depending on their properties, crystals can bring specific vibes and energy to your readings when you keep them close by. Placing crystals on my reading table helps bring in positive, healing and supportive energy. Certain crystals can also help ground the reading and bring in a sense of calm.
Whatever you are trying to achieve with your tarot card reading there is a crystal for it. These are some of the crystals I love to use as they work beautifully with tarot readings.
Clear Quartz
This is the go-to crystal that can be used for almost anything. If you were to get one crystal, get your hand on clear quartz. You can thank me.
● Use it to cleanse your Tarot cards by placing it on top of your deck
● Hold a small quartz crystal in one hand as you do a Tarot reading – this will sharpen your psychic abilities and keep your mind clear and focused
Rose Quartz
The Rose quartz is another crystal widely used not just in tarot card reading but for its properties related to self-love and balancing negative. Associated with the heart chakra, emotion, love and relationships. When placed on your reading table, it brings a soft, calming vibration, helping others to open up emotionally
● Meditate with it to connect more powerfully to your heart centre
● Place it on your reading table the next time you do a relationship reading
Amethyst
Sometimes referred to as the most spiritual stone, Amethyst is another high vibration crystal that will enhance the environment of your reading room and help you open your intuition Helps with visualization and enhances your psychic senses ~ meditate with it before a Tarot reading or place it on or near your Tarot reading table.
● Use this stone in Tarot Card Readings of a more spiritual nature as it can help you identify the spiritual purpose of a situation.
Black Tourmaline
This wonderful grounding stone can be used for protection against negative energy and is great for reading on an emotionally charged issue If your client is feeling ungrounded or upset, have them hold this stone while you read for them to absorb any form of negative energy
● Meditate with this stone right before a reading to ground any negativity or nervousness.
● Place on the reading table to help create a safe reading space with a calm, grounded energy.
